The following review written by one of the Software Informer contributors applies to version 1.1
Ainishare Video Converter is a comprehensive video conversion and editing tool. Besides, it offers you the possibility of extracting the audio stream of any of your videos, and save it as an MP4, WMA, MP3 or WAV file.
The list of video file formats supported is too long to reproduce here – suffice it to say that it includes all the most widely used codecs, such as AVI, FLV, MPEG, 3GP, and MOV.
Far from being a simple video converter, this Anishare’s tool includes a number of video editing functions. Ainishare’s Video Converter comes with an oversized video player that allows you not only to double-check the videos selected for conversion, but also edit them in a more comfortable and accurate way. Thus, you are given the possibility of cutting, cropping, and rotating your videos, and adding watermarks and custom subtitles to them. Besides, you can change the aspect of any supported video by applying to it any of the various video effects provided – black and white, old film, carving, pencil, posterize, negative, fog, or motion blur, among others.
Though it supports batch conversion, the program does not allow you to assign a different output format to each of the videos on your conversion list. All videos on the list will be transformed into the codec selected, or their audio extracted into the audio format of your choice. To make it easier for all types of users, the long list of video and audio codecs is neatly categorized either by device or by type. Thus, you will find specific sections for High Definition video codecs, for online video, and for well-known media players, intertwined with device-based categories, such as HTC, iPod, iPhone, BlackBerry, Game Hardware, and even Kindle Fire! Once selected, each of these output formats allow a certain degree of customization, so that you can choose the video size and quality that better fit your preferences.
It is important to note that Anishare offers also a free version of this same tool. Actually, it seems that they offer a commercial version of the free tool, which is the one with a webpage on their site. There seems to be no difference functionality-wise between the commercial and the free edition, and apparently what you are really paying for when acquiring the version reviewed here is life-time support and life-time updates. Not a bad deal, especially taking into account that this tool offers much more than meets the eye.
